There are four MAX trim options for the Ford Expedition. Across these four trims is a standard engine that gives you the power and torque you need to get around. This 3.5L EcoBoost® V6 engine produces up to 400 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque.
To improve fuel efficiency, the engine comes with Auto Start-Stop technology. While you’re stopped at a stoplight, your engine will turn off to save fuel. When you hit the gas again, your engine will turn back on.
The Expedition also comes standard with rear-wheel drive. However, if you’re looking for more traction in bad weather, you can opt for available Intelligent 4WD. You’ll also get a standard 10-speed SelectShift® automatic transmission, which focuses on responsiveness and performance while accelerating.
The Ford Expedition MAX trims have top-notch infotainment systems to keep you connected while you’re on the go. You’ll get a standard infotainment system powered by SYNC® 4. With SYNC® 4, you’ll get enhanced voice recognition, a 12-inch screen, Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™, and even available in-vehicle navigation. You can ask your vehicle for directions, change songs, and call your family without taking your hands off the wheel.
At higher-level MAX trims, you get even more. Your sound system can be upgraded to the 22-speaker B&O® Unleashed Sound System by Bang & Olufsen®. Everyone will enjoy music as if they’re in the front row at a show.
The Expedition MAX trims have plenty of features to keep everyone comfortable on long road trips or quick errands to the store. The front seats are cloth captain’s chairs, with an 8-way power driver seat so you can find that perfect driving position.
If you opt for higher-level MAX trims, you’ll get leather-trimmed seats and perforated, heated, and ventilated front captain’s chairs. The rear seats have power recline options and a Powerfold® 60/40 third-row seat.
In the Platinum MAX trim, a standard heated steering wheel, a Wi-Fi Hotspot, a universal garage door opener, and so much more will add to your comfort and convenience in the Ford Expedition.
